Informations for your visit
Here you will find all the important information about your visit to the hut as well as exciting facts about life in a mountain hut!
Characteristics of a mountain hut
Life in a mountain hut is unique and so will be your visit.
Despite all the achievements of civilization, the Gablonzer Hütte is an alpine refuge with simply furnished shared rooms and camps as well as sanitary facilities in the corridor.
The building technology is complex and at the mercy of the exposed location of the house.
The supply of the hut takes place by means of a material cable car.
The water supply was realized with the help of a spring cistern and a small waterworks.
Customs for a good togetherness in the mountain hut
- Room allocation: The room allocation takes place in the afternoon of the arrival. If you have a specific room request, please indicate this in the free text field when making your reservation. We will then try to meet this request in the bed allocation.
- Check-In: From 5:00 p.m. at the latest. Please let us know when you arrive. We then know that your bed needs to be prepared.
- The kitchen is open until 06:30 p.m.
- Quiet time from 10:00 p.m. (Winter 10:30 p.m.)
- Breakfast from 07:00 until 08:30 a.m. (Winter 07:30 - 09:00 a.m.)
- Please leave the room by 09:00 a.m. at the latest.
- Please settle your bill in the evening. The next morning all guests want to get out quickly.
- Please operate radios and other playback devices with headphones only. What pleases one, may not meet the taste of the neighbor or the host. Homemade music of any kind is always welcome.
- Catering: By offering food and beverages, we finance the lease, the earnings of our staff, and everything else we need to manage in an exposed location. Self-catering is only allowed within very narrow limits (AV members outside the main meal times, in assigned areas against payment of a self-catering fee).
- Bed linen: Provided for the rooms. In the camp is absolutely necessary to use a hut sleeping bag.
- Dogs: Are always a difficult thing on a mountain hut. It is necessary to take into account the needs of the room neighbor and possible allergy sufferers. We have decided to allow dogs if we can allocate an entire room to the group in question. Please be sure to ask in advance. Depending on when you want to come and which rooms we have available, we will coordinate the possibility of coming with dog.
- Heating: The guest room and the rooms are centrally heated. In the guest room we always keep it comfortably warm. In the rooms a pleasant sleeping temperature is kept.
- Do I have to take a towel with me?: Yes! Only in case of emergency we have few towels to lend for a fee.
